Pet Vaccinations
Free Vaccines for Life Program
Keeping up with pet vaccinations is important to protect them from contagious and potentially lethal diseases. Through our Free Vaccines for Life program in Cedar Lake, your pet can enjoy a lifetime of excellent protection.
Following a one-time enrollment fee, your pet will receive their core vaccines free of charge thereafter with every paid exam. Exams are not covered in this program.
The vaccines included in the Free Vaccines for Life program are:
Cats
- Rhinotracheitis-calicivirus-panleukopenia combination vaccine (FVRCP)
- Feline leukemia
- Rabies
Dogs:
- Distemper-hepatitis-parvovirus-parainfluenza combination vaccine (DHPP)
- Rabies
- Leptospirosis
- Bordetella (kennel cough)
Additional Dog Vaccines We Offer
We recommend rabies and distemper for all dogs, but we also need to evaluate their lifestyle to determine if other vaccines are necessary. Additional dog vaccines we may recommend include canine influenza (H3N2) and the Lyme disease vaccine.
Our doctors consider various lifestyle factors, including frequency of travel, exposure risks, environment, breed and size to help you make the best decision.
Why Your Pet Needs Routine Vaccinations
Like children, our pets need vaccinations to keep them immune to various diseases. At Hanover Veterinary Hospital, we offer all of the most important vaccines for cats and dogs to help them stay healthy. Pet vaccinations are an essential part of wellness care and should be given on a yearly basis to provide maximum protection. In addition to protecting your pet, vaccinations can also reduce or prevent the spread of disease.
Our veterinary team in Cedar Lake will work closely with you to choose the appropriate vaccines for your pet. Furthermore, we can offer recommendations based on potential lifestyle changes, and explain the benefits your pet can expect. Vaccinations are a preventive measure that enable pets to fight off diseases without having to experience their effects. Each pet is an individual and requires vaccines that suit their individual needs. To establish an appropriate vaccination schedule for your pet, please call us at (219) 374-9443.
