Relief, Full, or Part-time Associate Veterinarian

Are you a veterinarian looking to use your skills in a well-established small animal exclusive veterinary practice? Consider a role as a relief, full, or part-time associate veterinarian with us! They should be able to manage a heavy/diversified case load and direct support staff accordingly.

Our facility offers complete in-house laboratory equipment, a high capacity surgical suite, and a self-contained isolation ward. We have an experienced team of support staff, including three RVTs, with a staff to doctor ratio of 2:1.

We offer alternative therapies, such as acupuncture, and we are a Fear Free Certified Practice. We are seeking an associate who would like to expand in these areas or offer new services.

Veterinary Technician

If you are a veterinary technician, or experienced veterinary assistant, apply for a role today at Hanover Veterinary Hospital! We are a well-established, small animal hospital who offers high quality veterinary medicine to pets of Cedar Lake, IN.

As a technician, your duties can include monitoring anesthesia, assisting the veterinarian in surgical procedures, cleaning and stocking the surgical suite and maintaining surgical equipment. As an assistant, you duties can include obtaining histories and vitals on cats and dogs, cleaning and stocking exam rooms, communicating with the client about their pet’s health,  and any task in the hospital as needed.  We are currently seeking a registered technician with surgical and clinical experience.

Veterinary Receptionist

Your role as a veterinary receptionist is crucial to our animal hospital. You’re the first face our clients see when they walk in the door, so people skills and a friendly personality is a must! Veterinary experience is a plus, but not essential; however, a love of animals is! You also must be proficient with email, Internet, scan/fax machine and have excellent telephone and communication skills

Your duties will include checking clients in and out, answering and making phone calls, and assisting with any other tasks necessary to make our hospital run smoothly.

This role also requires you to work different shifts, such as mornings (opening), afternoon into evening (closing) and some Saturdays.

Kennel Attendant

As a kennel attendant, your main duties will be ensuring the comfort and well-being of our canine and feline guests in our boarding facility. Experience in working with animals is preferred. This role requires mornings, afternoon to evening, and some weekend hours as well.

Your duties will include: cleaning cages, feeding and medicating dogs and cats, letting dogs out into the yard, and other miscellaneous duties.
